        Introduced  by  Sen.  WRIGHT -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation-- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee
 
        AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to the placement of additional information on traps
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assembly, do enact as follows:
 
         Section  1.  Subdivision  1  of  section  11-1105 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 911 of  the  laws  of  1990,  is amended to read as follows:
Traps set for taking wildlife shall bear the name and residence address of the operator or, at the option of the trapper, other information which the department determines will allow for the  enforcement  of this  title  and  public protection, legibly at all times. They shall be visited once in each twenty-four hours,  except  in  the  Northern  Zone where  they shall be visited once in each forty-eight hours or a shorter interval of no less than twenty-four hours as  the  department  may,  by regulation,  require, and all wildlife held captive shall immediately be removed from the traps.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
